WARRANTY:

This certificate is issued by DEFY APPLIANCES (PTY) LIMITED, manufacturers of Defy and Ocean products, to the original purchaser only of the appliance described herein. It constitutes the only warranty given in respect of this appliance.

Warranty Period:
3 Years from date of purchase – covering defects under normal domestic use, in both workmanship and material, subject to the following terms:

1. Repairs or Replacements:
   Covered within 50 km of a Defy Service Centre or Authorized Dealer. Beyond that, standard travel charges apply. Small appliances like microwaves and compact cookers are carry-in only.

2. Exclusions:
   Vitreous enamelware, fuses, lamps, and any damage from abuse, misuse, commercial use, incorrect voltage, or poor maintenance are not covered.

3. Void Conditions:
   Warranty is void if dismantled or repaired by unauthorized persons, if unapproved parts are used, or if the serial number is removed.

4. Liability:
   The company is not liable for damage from natural disasters, pests, civil disturbances, or consequential loss due to appliance malfunction.

5. Transport Costs:
   Not covered beyond Point 1’s provisions.

6. Regional Support:
   Valid in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa—contact local customer care.

7. No Fault Found:
   If no fault is found, the service costs are on the purchaser.

8. Proof of Purchase:
   This certificate and your invoice must be presented to claim warranty. Failure to provide both will result in full service charges.
