Hisense South Africa provides a standard 36-month (3-year) warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects and/or defective material for products used for domestic purposes only. An additional 12 months of warranty (totaling 4 years) can be obtained by successfully registering the product on the Hisense South Africa website (https://register.hisense.co.za/) or via SMS (HICARE to 48868) within 30 days of the purchase date. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser within the Republic of South Africa. Exclusions include commercial use (unless specified), damage from misuse, neglect, physical damage, tampering, incorrect adjustment, normal wear and tear, incorrect installation (unless by an accredited Hisense installer), electricity fluctuations, lightning strikes, faults in building wiring, improper use, failure to follow operating instructions, superior force, insect/pest infestation, or water/liquid damage. After the first six months from the purchase date, the warranty also excludes accessories, light bulbs, loose glass, glass doors, enamelled surfaces, filters, handles, doors, crispers, shelves, TV stands/brackets, remotes, 3D glasses, and other parts subject to wear and tear or discolouring. For claims within the first six months, a service call for inspection and verification is required, and the product should be returned with original proof of purchase to the store. After six months, Hisense’s liability is limited to the replacement and/or repair of defective parts. Repairs performed by Hisense authorized service agents carry a 3-month warranty on labor and parts from the date of completion, which does not extend the original product warranty.
